CHRISTA D. VENTLING: UNA CORAGGIOSA PIONIERA

La collega svizzera Christa D. Ventling è venuta a mancare nel novembre scorso dopo una lunga malattia. È con raccoglimento e affetto che mi accingo a scrivere queste righe in suo ricordo. È un onore per me farlo poiché l’ho conosciuta e apprezzata, come persona e come collega, negli incontri annuali che hanno portato, nel 1995, alla fondazione della Federazione e

Europea di Analisi Bioenergetica e Psicoterapia (EFABP). Ed anche perché ho avuto recentemente il piacere di tradurre un libro da lei curato: “L’approccio bioenergetico alla psicoterapia infantile” (F.Angeli, 2018).

Nel ricordo che le è stato dedicato in ambito europeo, viene definita una ‘pioniera’, e credo che questo appellativo le si attagli a cominciare dall’impegno di ricercatrice che ha profuso sul tema dell’efficacia dell’analisi bioenergetica. Christa, infatti, si era laureata in chimica e in biochimica, prima di laurearsi in psicologia, e aveva svolto ricerche in campo medico e neurobiologico. È stata membro attivo della Società Svizzera di Analisi Bioenergetica (SGBAT), dell’EFBAP, dell’Associazione Europea di Psicoterapia Corporea (EABP), oltre che dell’IIBA.

Ha pubblicato numerosi articoli e, oltre al libro già citato, ha curato anche la raccolta intitolata: “Body Psychotherapy in Progressive and Chronic Disorders” (Karger, Basel, Switzerland, 2002). Anche con questo libro, come con quello già citato, Christa si è dimostrata una pioniera, infatti, nessuno nella comunità bioenergetica  aveva ancora raccolto materiale su questi temi. E in questo secondo libro ha affrontato coraggiosamente un argomento che la toccava da vicino: l’approccio alla malattia cronica e progressiva. È un grande insegnamento per tutti noi, credo.

Concludo, dunque, traducendo qualche riga dalla sua prefazione: “Questo libro oltrepassa una soglia. (…) Quando ho cercato contributi per questo volume molti colleghi hanno declinato. Il tema era troppo personale, troppo intimo, troppo rivelante. (…) Niente è insegnato al riguardo nei training di psicoterapia. Questi articoli rappresentano un tentativo di riempire questo vuoto. Io spero fortemente che i futuri psicoterapeuti troveranno utili gli schietti resoconti degli autori, e ne trarranno ispirazione per il proprio lavoro.”
